    I just buy my maxisys pro two week ago, and register the device on 2/12/2015. Why my warranty period on the scan tool says , warranty period 3/15/2014 To 5/15/2015. That woul be only 3 month of warranty for me.

     warranty period is from date your tool was brought from the dealer updates are from when you register your tool.  I think correct.

     Seems to me that you should get full factory warranty from the time you yourself  purchase/register it, not from when the supplier purchased it. Possibly something tech support can answer for us when they get back.

    Mine is the same way. I called aeswave and maxisys both and they said it was a glitch. That my warranty was from date of purchase. Its still showing up on the website wrong though.

     Actual warranty is determined by purchase date, so please keep your invoice.
    The warranty period shown on the website is just reference period for support if you cannot provide the invoice, that's determined by manufacture date. You can ignore it.

    My tool was an exchange straight across as the OTC Genisys I had never worked right.
    What do I need to get from Advance Auto to proof of purchase?
